Fun Finds for Fall

Oh my gourd, it’s finally fall! One of my favorite seasons of the year for sure. The beautiful decor, excitement of fantasy football, trying out new hearty soup recipes, cinnamon spiced tea, homemade pumpkin bread, cozy blankets by the fire and… candles. Lots and lots of candles!

Ah, so many things to love.

Each year when fall rolls around, retailers promote their own collection of fun finds, which can often be very overwhelming: the fall inspired scented candles, cozy flannel blankets, decorative floral wreaths… Well, lucky for you, I’ve done plenty of digging around and selected a few great finds to save you both your precious time and a few dollars along the way. From cooking gadgets to blankets and front door rugs to tasty treats, I hope you find something that inspires you to get cozy!

Happy shopping!

Wreaths

Wreaths are an easy way to add a fun decorative touch to your front door while also making guests feel welcome to your home. I’m a huge fan of small, simple wreaths that incorporate real dried florals, especially in the fall! Faux greenery is always great for decorating but fall is the perfect time to utilize dried flowers and stems.

Faux stems

I love bringing the outdoors in with a mix of faux leaves, branches, pampas grass and other autumn inspired florals. Incorporating them into your fall decor can be as easy as placing a few stems in a vase on your kitchen counter, or as fun as creating your own front door wreath. Whatever your style, I hope you enjoy the few items I’ve picked!

Clothing essentials

I’m a huge sucker for a great cardigan in the fall. The sleeves have to be long enough for my monkey arms and it has to be a bit oversized, soft and comfy. I’m also a huge fan of cozy slippers, which I live in all year round. And don’t forget the athleisure wear. It’s an absolute necessity for those early morning kid drop offs, or mornings at the gym (or just wear around town and make people think you’ve been at the gym. That’s ok too.)

Candles

I’m a little picky when it comes to candles. I’m not big on floral notes, don’t do fruity or parfumed scents either. I’m more of a simple gal who loves clean, mild earthy scents: sandalwood, clove, cotton, firewood… Occasionally I’ll find one that blows my mind, and this season is no different. I’ve found a few that are the perfect way to welcome fall into your home. Enjoy!

Front door rugs

I’ve gathered a few fun rugs that are perfect for fall. If you’ve never layered your entryway rugs, you should try it! Simply lay a larger, plaid or striped rug down, then add a smaller, more detailed rug over it. See the samples below.

Tasty treats

Let’s face it', we’re all busy, especially in the fall. There are so many amazing fall inspired recipes that I have promised to make year after year, and never find the time to do so. Enter Williams Sonoma. They have so many great tasting ‘cheats’ that will make your family believe you’ve been in the kitchen baking all day! And for those of you who do enjoy spending the day baking, I’ve included some mini pie forms that I thought were so cute I couldn’t pass them up! Happy baking!
