Retail Therapy Day

Occasionally I’m able to sneak away from ‘mom life’ and treat myself to a day of retail therapy. With a house full of boys, a husband and two dogs (one of which is a 10 week old puppy), finding a quiet, chaos-free zone is nearly impossible. So when I get in my car alone and make the 35 minute drive to Boise (Idaho’s beautiful capitol city), there’s nothing more enjoyable than sipping my coconut milk iced coffee and driving in complete silence. No music, no back seat chatter. Just me, my thoughts and the highway.

For me, that’s the best therapy.

The Plan

In my often overly-organized life, the “me days” don’t seem to come around very often. So, when I do get some time away, I never like to make a solid plan. Having the freedom to drop in wherever I choose at a moments notice is such a thrill. So, where do I usually end up? Three of my favorite places: Target, Mister Car Wash and wherever my tastebuds take me for a tasty bite to eat. And last weekend I did just that, and it was fabulous. Every. Single. Minute.

Originally, my plan for visiting Target was to check out the new fall collections from McGee and Co. and Hearth & Hand by Magnolia. Usually when they drop their new lines I can’t get there fast enough to see anything but empty shelves. Thankfully I lucked out this time. I also found a few new summer tops that I couldn’t say no to! So I’d call my adventure a win for sure!

Below are the fun finds that filled my shopping cart. Simply scroll through the pics and if you see something you like, click on it and it will take you directly to Target’s website. After all, everyone needs a little (online) retail therapy, right? And this way you can save your money on gas!
