Simple autumn decor

It’s time to get cozy!

When it comes to decorating for fall, I’m a pretty simple gal. I wish I had enough time and storage space to change up my decor for every holiday, but life seems to always move too fast for that! Instead, I focus on combining a mix of things I have laying around with a few new things to switch it up just enough to look different from years past. Is that cheating or being frugal? I’ll let you decide.

The one place I love decorating during the holidays is my front patio. I feel like it gives visitors a glimpse into what they’ll find once they’re inside, so I love making it feel cozy and inviting.

I usually don’t have a specific plan for fall decorating until I find something that inspires me. This year it was little faux pumpkins from Walmart! I got my hands on 12 of them in all different colors, shapes and sizes. Thankfully they had quite a selection when I was there so I had a lot to choose from. Keep in mind, they’re not the most perfect, high quality faux pumpkins, but I think they’re perfect for seasonal outside decor, and if they get destroyed in the elements, it won’t break the bank!

Once I got them all home I grabbed a few boxes and buckets I had laying around and divided them among each of the containers. I added in a few pieces of faux greenery for added texture and filler, and that’s it!! Easy peasy!

Inside I keep the same decorating philosophy during the holidays: clean and simple. Scattering a few fall accents amongst my normal decor is all I need to remind me that cool days are on the way!

Target is my go-to for holiday decor, and this year was no different! Here are the links for the items I picked up this season (as shown in the above photo):

Carved wooden vase
Ceramic vase with fern
Mini ceramic candle
Black wire basket

The items not listed in the photo above were purchased at an earlier date and are no longer available. I have included a few items that closely resemble them to save you time!

Wood table runner
Decorative moss balls
Taper candle holders

Welcoming a new season into your home doesn’t have to be stressful or expensive. If you’re like me, add just enough fun touches to get you excited for the days ahead!

Happy Fall!
